VirginiaDella's is based on the spirit of Kenya Pierre and Glenita Famuyiwa's two grandmothers, Virginia Johnson and Della Mosley. Virginia was known for her loving and vibrant personality, who’s peach cobbler and apple sauce cake were family favorites. Della was also a great cook, and on special occasions would make her savory gumbo, representative of her Louisiana roots. Although she had a quiet demeanor, she was very vocal and passionate when it came to politics and her Christian faith. There were core similarities between the women, but there was a definite yin and yang thing going on! Glenita and Kenya feel so blessed to have had these women be the role models that influenced the spicy and sweet sides of their own personalities!
